Tiger Supplies’ exclusive range of Weatherwear protects the wearer from the elements. From Wet Suits to Safety Wellingtons, our Wet Weather Clothing will ensure you feel comfortable and protected in the toughest environments.
Our weatherwear offers great value for money, as it is made of high-tech fabric, including Sealtex, Flexothane and Texoflex.
Sealtex
Sealtex garments are manufactured with high-tech coated fabrics on flexible and highly tear-resistant polyester knitted fabric. Sealtex garments feature welded seams to prevent rain and wind from penetrating. This fabric is durable and easy to be cleaned.
Flexothane
Flexothane is also a waterproof and windproof fabric with double-welded seams for extra strength and tear resistance. It consists of a revolutionary coating on knitted fabric, which can withstand foul weather and is easily wiped clean.
Texoflex
This waterproof and windproof material consists of PVC coating on polyester knitting. This combination makes Texoflex a strong and tear-resistant fabric.
European Standard
EN 343 is the European standard that determines the main requirements for weatherproof garments.
Clothing is assessed and classified according to
- Waterproofness or water penetration resistance: This value refers to the capacity of a garment to offer protection against wet weather, involving rain, fog and humidity.
- Breathability: The standard assesses the breathability of a garment under those particular conditions
Garments are rated from 1 (lowest level) to 3 (highest level) for each of these categories as seen below:

Tips to care for your waterproof clothing
Here are some recommendations to care for waterproof garments:
- Always read any washing or care instructions coming with the product.
- It is advisable to close the zips of waterproof jackets or trousers to brush off any loose mud before washing.
- Do not use harsh detergents or fabric softeners to clean waterproof clothing as they may damage the waterproof coating of the fabric.
- Allow garments to air dry. Tumble dry garments only if the care instructions allow it.
